Have you ever heard the statement "I'd love to hire you but you need to have three years commercial driving experience"? How do you ever get that experience if companies are not willing to hire junior drivers? At Scott-Woods, if you have a positive attitude, a good work ethic, and are willing to learn, then we are the company you are looking for.
Scott-Woods has developed a unique program to develop and train drivers in-house to provide them with the experience and expertise to haul some of the largest loads on the road. Our equipment ranges from small single axle Tilt 'N' Load trucks with hydraulic brakes (only requires a G license) to large 13 axle tractor-trailer configurations.
We seek out junior drivers (Class G licenses are fine) who have the right attitude and desire to begin a career in trucking. We will train you on small trucks which only require a G license to ensure you understand all the basics of being a good, safe, commercial driver. When you are ready, we can then advance you to the next level of truck (and class of license), all the while continuously training and educating you on the proper techniques of driving a commercial truck.
Want to keep advancing your knowledge to drive large multi-axle tractor/trailer combinations, great, we will train you to get there. Or, would you prefer to stay in a smaller truck that better suits your comfort level? No problem, we will work with you to ensure that we fit the right truck to your needs.
We are currently seeking:
AZ Tractor Trailer drivers for long haul throughout Canada/US and Canadian short haul. Experience in oversize/over dimensional loads is an asset.
DZ Tilt N Load driver for west end work.
